私は自己表現の手段として主に動物を描いています。ただし、観察したままを描写するのではなく、自分のフィルターを通すことで動物特有のフォルムを抽出し、その内面性を描き出そうと試みています。動物は古来より、時に家族や友人として、時に畏怖の対象として私たちの生活の中に根付き、いわば人々の思いを投影する器として、私たちの心の隙間を埋めてきました。私は両者の間の近すぎず遠すぎない、その目には見えない「やさしい距離」を作品によって表現したいと考えています。鑑賞者の無意識とつながることで、私の描く動物たちは対話と共感を運ぶ存在となるのです。
I draw animals as my self-expression. However, I do not portray the animals as it is, but rather attempt to extract their unique forms and portray their inner nature biased by my own filter. Since ancient times, animals have rooted in our lives, sometimes as family and friends and sometimes as objects of awe, filling the gaps in our hearts as vessels for projecting our thoughts. Through my works, I would like to express the invisible “gentle distance” between the two, which is neither too close nor too far. By connecting with the viewer’s unconscious, the animals I depict become carriers of dialogue and empathy.
1978年神奈川県生まれ。 2002年アーティスト集団「C-DEPOT」設立。2003年東京藝術大学大学院修士課程デザイン専攻修了。 2021年「Animal’s session」（おぶせミュージアム・中島千波館/長野）、2024年「Splendid Waltz」（ホワイトストーンギャラリー台北/台湾）など個展多数。 2019年「モリカラモリヘ」（信州高遠美術館/長野）、2021年「描画図鑑」（佐藤美術館/東京）、2022年「現代日本画の煌き」（新見美術館/岡山）などグループ展多数。2004年第8回新生展新生賞受賞。 2024年パークホテル東京のアーティストルームの40人目のアーティストに選ばれ、「アーティストルーム樹街鳥獣図」を完成。
Born in 1978 in Kanagawa. Established artist group C-DEPOT in 2002. Awarded MFA from The Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts in 2003. Solo exhibitions: 2021 “Animal’s session” Obuse Museum Chinami Nakajima Kan (Nagano); 2024 “Splendid Waltz” Whitestone Gallery Taipei (Taiwan) and more. Group exhibitions: 2019 “mori kara mori e” Takato Museum of Arts (Nagano); 2021 “byoga zukan” Sato Museum (Tokyo); 2022 “gendai nihonga no kirameki” Niimi Museum of Art (Okayama) and more. Awarded Shisei Prize at the 8th Shinsei Exhibition. Selected as the 40th artist for Park Hotel Tokyo’s artist room and completed “jugai tyoju zu” in 2024.
