積彩は、3Dプリンティングを専門領域としたデザインファブリケーションスタジオです。
3Dプリンティングでしか成し得ないような造形 / 色彩表現を探求する中で、繊細なプリーツを立体表面に配することにより「見る角度によって色が変化する」という視覚効果を創出させることに成功しました。
これによりオーディエンスに対し、「実物を見ているにも関わらず、まるでCGを見ているかのような」新しい視覚体験を提供することが可能になりました。
私たちが目指すのは、3Dプリンタという最先端のテクノロジーを用いることで、新しい「モノ」を作るだけではなく、その裏にある新しい「モノづくり」の在り方を思索し、この時代にふさわしい新たな「モノがたり」を紡いでいくことです。ー積彩
Sekisai is a design fabrication studio specializing in 3D printing.
In the pursuit of shapes and color expression that can only be achieved through 3D printing, Sekisai has succeeded in creating a visual effect in which colors change depending on the angle of view by arranging delicate pleats on the surface of the 3D object.
This allows us to provide the audience with a new visual experience that makes them feel as if they are looking at a computer graphics image, even though they are looking at a real object.
Our goal is not only to create new products by using the cutting-edge technology of 3D printers, but also to explore new ways of making things, and weave a new story that is appropriate for this era.ーSEKISAI
積彩は、3Dプリンティング技術を用いて新たな色彩表現を探求するデザインファブリケーションスタジオです。
独自開発の印刷技法「Transcolor Printing」によって作り出された作品は、みる角度によって色が変化する特殊な視覚効果を生み出し、モノでありながら有生性を帯びた振る舞いを見せます。
2022年「gradient」（西武渋谷店 / 東京）、「PLAYFUL COLORS」（YUGEN Gallery / 東京）、「擬風景展」（東京藝術大学美術館陳列館）など個展開催。
Innovative Technologies2022、富山デザインコンペティション2020グランプリなど受賞多数。
“Sekisai”is an artist group formed by Shin Obinata; Soya Eguchi; Ryoma Takamori; Rina Kinoshita.
Originating from the “research on special color expression by 3D printing” conducted in the Hiroya Tanaka Laboratory at Keio University, the company was founded for social implementation when the representative of the research group, Obinata, graduated from graduate school.
“Sekisai”was established in 2021.
Group exhibitions: 2019“Furoshiki Tokyo Exhibition” Tokyo; 2022“SICF22”Spiral / Tokyo.
Awards: 2020 the Grand Prize at Toyama Design Competition; the Gold Prize in Student Category at CS Design Award.
