Without selecting a motif, I first draw a large number of images at random.
I then compose the multiple images that emerge and materialize them into a work of art.
This is a method to express “something” that I have not thought of, and only by making use of unconsciousness and coincidence does the motif that will become the “core of the work” emerge.
I find the “forms” that emerge when I dare not think about them to be strangely attractive, and I find that my curiosity to see the finished work is more aroused when I focus on the “form” of the work rather than the meaning of the work. ーTakehiro YAMAMOTO
