Profile

　1993年長野県生まれ、京都在住。2017年京都造形芸術大学大学院芸術研究科修士課程芸術専攻ペインティング領域修了。スプレーやシルクスクリーンによる色面と、絵の具が激しく盛られた凹凸の組み合わせによる躍動的なペインティング作品を制作する。異なった要素のぶつかり合いは奇妙な調和を見せ、新たな感覚へのイマジネーションを膨らませる。近年の展覧会に、「NEWoMan YOKOHAMA × The Chain Museum Vo.4」 (NEWoMan横浜、神奈川、2022）、個展「絵肌にシュプール」（GALLERY SCENA. by SHUKADO、東京2023）など。

Born in Nagano in 1993 and currently lives in Kyoto. Received MFA in Fine Arts from the graduate school of Kyoto University of Art in 2017. I create dynamic paintings with uneven surfaces by piling up paints heavily on a sprayed and silk-screened colored base. The collision of different elements shows a strange harmony and expands the imagination to new sensations. Recent exhibitions: 2022 “NEWoMan YOKOHAMA x The Chain Museum Vo.4” Newomen Yokohama (Kanagawa); 2023 solo exhibition “Spur on the Material” GALLERY SCENA. by SHUKADO (Tokyo).

Statement

私は、世界を感じる認識や感覚、その不可思議さを絵画へ向けて制作しています。 画材は主にアクリル絵具を使用して、ペインティング、シルクスクリーン、ステンシルなどの複数の技法を組み合わせて描き、コラージュ遊びの時に発見するような、いびつで整合性の取れない空間の絵画を作っています。 平面作品が持っているある種の錯覚や歪みのような空間性は、現実とのズレとして私たちの感覚を再認識させ、また、現実世界の風景には感じえない多次元的な景色や感覚へのイマジネーションをも膨らませてくれます。 まだ見ぬものへの想像は、私たちを取り巻く世界との関わりと眼差しを変化させ続けることに繋がると信じています。

I direct my paintings toward the perception and sensation of the world and its wonders. Using mainly acrylic paint as my painting medium, I combine multiple techniques such as painting, silkscreening, and stenciling to create paintings which have awkward and inconsistent space. The process is like the discovery when we are playing with collage. The illusion or distorted spatiality of the two-dimensional paintings reawakens our senses as a discrepancy from reality. Also, they stimulate our imagination of multidimensional landscapes and sensations that we cannot perceive in the real world. We believe that imagination of the unseen leads us to continue to change our relationship and view of the world around us.
