Profile

1977年東京都生まれ。
2005年武蔵野美術大学大学院造形研究科美術専攻日本画コース修了。
2018年「創造的破壊　ヨーゼフ・シュンペーターより」(たましんギャラリー / 東京)、2023年「Future Classic －未来の古典－」（日本橋三越本店 / 東京）など個展多数。
2016年「堂島リバーアワード」（堂島リバーフォーラム / 大阪）、2021年「第8回トリエンナーレ豊橋 星野眞吾賞展 明日の日本画を求めて」（豊橋市美術博物館 / 愛知）などグループ展に多数参加。
2020年第1回三越伊勢丹・千住博日本画大賞展、三越美術部賞受賞。
2018年紫雲山瑞聖寺（東京）に作品収蔵。

Statement

7歳の頃、私はナイフを持った通り魔に遭った。
奇跡的に無傷で助かった7歳の私は、「なぜ人は死ぬのに生きるのか？」という大きな矛盾にぶつかる。
モチーフであるメカ龍は、矛盾の象徴だ。近代西洋の象徴である機械と、古代東洋・自然崇拝の象徴である龍が共存した身体。
日本に古くから伝わり形成された素材で、新たな世界を創造している。
矛盾を抱えたメカ龍は生きることの矛盾を乗り越え、大きく飛び立つ。

When I was seven years old, I came across a random attacker. I miraculously survived unharmed, but ran into a great contradiction: “Why do we people, being mortal, live?”
My motif “Mecha dragon” is a symbol of contradiction. Machines, a symbol of Western modernity, and the dragon, a symbol of the ancient East and nature worship, coexist in its body. I create a new world with materials that have been handed down and formed in Japan since ancient times.
Mecha dragon, itself having contradictions, flies high overcoming the contradiction of living.
