It is interesting that everyday life is filled with various forms.
When I paint, I sometimes catch a glimpse of something interesting that I had not noticed before because it is so obvious.
A cup with a chipped rim that is always in use.
A slightly warped cushion.
Scattered papers and pencils on the desk.
Even simple shapes become vivid decorations in my work.
When I look closely at the everyday things to paint, they are transformed into various shapes like a kaleidoscope.
I find this very enjoyable and I love it.
I want to paint freely, as if I were drifting and swimming in the water, unbound by anything.
I want to create works like water, which is elusive and shines in various colors as it catches the light. ーHanae NAKAJIMA
