1971年神奈川県生まれ。
1997年イギリスロイヤルカレッジオブアート版画コース終了。2024年「Be out of the frame」（ギャラリー蚕室 / 東京）、「Chaos and Order」（遊びのギャラリー1979 / 東京）など個展多数。2022年「アートフェアアジア福岡」（福岡）、2023年「KOUGEI art fair Kanazawa」（ハイアットセントリック金沢 / 石川）、2024年「邂逅-巧術其之拾-」（スパイラルガーデン / 東京）、「Hysterik Nature “KETSU”」（日本橋コンテンポラリーギャラリー / 東京）などグループ展、アートフェア多数。
2017-18年 アメリカのセレクトショップ Anthropologie とのコラボレーションでホリデイ商品を発売。

Statement

私は刺繍の技法を用いて制作する中で、刺繍が女性と深く関わる歴史的・社会的背景を持つことに気づき、より多くの方に刺繡の可能性を 伝えるべく活動を続けています。 私の作品制作は一貫して「過去に感じた“こころのいたみ”を美しいものとして昇華し、現在の自分と向き合う」ことをテーマとしています。 近年は平面作品に加え「刺繍道具シリーズ」として、針刺しや刺繍枠、刺繍台などの立体作品にも取り組んでいます。それらは道具としての機 能を超え「心」を受け止める装置としての役割を持たせた作品です。 刺繍を通じて伝えたいのは、針と糸に込められた歴史や思いを再発見し、それを現代美術として新たな価値へと昇華することです。刺繍は単なる「手仕事」ではなく、私の過去と未来を繋ぐ大切な表現手段です。

While creating works with embroidery techniques, I noticed the historical and social background laid down between women and embroidery, and I continue to create to convey its potential to as many people as possible.
The theme of my creation has always been is “to sublimate ‘emotional pains’ that I have once felt in the past into beautiful things so that I can face myself in the present.” Recently, in addition to two dimensional works, I’m working on three dimensional works like pincushion, embroidery hoops or hoop stands as “Tools Series”. These works go beyond their function as tools to serve as devices that receive our feelings. What I want to convey through embroidery is to rediscover, the thoughts and history that are put into needles and threads and elevate them into new values in a context of contemporary art. Embroidery is not just “hand work” but a valuable way of expression to connect my past and future.
