Profile

1994年大阪府生まれ。
2018年京都市立芸術大学大学院工芸専攻修了、2019年京都市産業技術研究所漆工応用コース修了、2021年Grace漆工房開業、2024年4月まで京都市立芸術大学非常勤講師。
2021年内海紗英子漆芸展「グローリア」（ギャラリー南蛮 / 大阪）、2023年内海紗英子漆芸展「イースターの足音」（聖路加第一画廊 / 東京）など個展多数。
2024年「ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2024」（京都国立博物館 / 京都）、「第88回京都アンティークフェア（夢工房ブース）」（京都パルスプラザ / 京都）などグループ展やアートフェアに多数参加。受賞多数。

Born in Osaka in 1994.
Awarded MFA in craft from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2018. Graduated from Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industrial Technology and Culture, advanced lacquer course in 2019, opened Grace Urushi Workroom in 2021 and worked as a part-time lecturer at Kyoto City University of Arts until April, 2024.
Solo exhibitions: 2021 “Gloria” GALLERY NAMBAN (Osaka); 2023 “Easter no ashi oto” St. Luke’s Corporation. Gallery 1 (Tokyo) and more.
Group exhibitions & Art fairs: 2024 “ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2024” Kyoto National Museum; “88th KYOTO ANTIQUE FAIR (YUMEKOUBOU booth)” KYOTO PULSE PLAZA and more. Won many prizes.

Statement

幼少期よりキリスト教会に通っていた私は、人生の中で与えられるさまざまな「喜び、祝福、めぐみ」を核となるテーマとして、漆芸における「加飾」という技法を用いて、西洋の流れを汲む文様やイメージで装飾を施した作品制作をしています。
漆の持つ美しい艶感を大切にすることで、それらのテーマをより美しく際立たせたいと考えています。手仕事により少しずつ磨かれ、光を増していくさまは、他者への幸福を祈る行為を想起させます。

Having a childhood attending a Christian church, I have been creating works that are decorated with Western-style patterns and images using the technique of “decoration” in lacquer art, with the various “joys, blessings, and graces” given in life as the core theme. By valuing the beautiful luster of lacquer, I hope to make these themes stand out even more beautifully. The way the lacquer is gradually polished by hand and becomes more luminous reminds me of the act of praying for the happiness of others.
