Profile

1991年東京都生まれ。
2016年多摩美術大学大学院美術研究科日本画領域博士前期過程修了。
2022年「The Sixth Sense」（あべのハルカス近鉄本店 / 大阪、Dorothy Circus Gallery / イギリス）、「水鏡をのぞく時」（東武百貨店池袋店 / 東京）、「至善至美-KALOKAGATHIA-」(北京当代潮流芸術画廊42ArtSpace / 中国）、2024年「天使のような獣たち」（Artglorieux GALLERY OF TOKYO）など個展多数。グループ展やアートフェアにも多数参加。
2015年FACE展損保ジャパン日本興亜美術賞展 審査員特別賞受賞。

Awarded MFA in Nihonga from Tama Art University, Graduate School in 2016.

Statement

「美にして善」という古代ギリシアの哲学から、美は人類にとって最善であるという思想で制作しています。人物像を美の象徴として玉の如く美しく磨き上げることと、題材とする神話や伝承を通して「人間とは何か」を深く考えることによって「美にして善」の絵画を体現したいと考えています。使用している日本画技法は、顔料や箔などの本来の色合いや質感を最も美しく表すことができます。人物像を描く際には、鉱物や土を主原料とする顔料や岩絵具を使用しますが、それが白く輝く天然の質感と存在感を生み出すのです。描写による美の表現と、質感そのものの美しさによって、「普遍的かつ根源的な美」を追求しています。

Based on the ancient Greek philosophy of “kalokagathia,” I create paintings based on the idea that beauty is the best for mankind. I hope to embody “kalokagathia” paintings by refining the human figure as a symbol of beauty and by reflecting what it means to be human through the myths and folklore. The Nihonga technique I use can most beautifully express the true colors and textures of pigments and foils. When painting portraits, I use pigments made mainly from minerals and soil, which create a shiny white texture and a presence. I pursue “universal and fundamental beauty” by depicting the beauty with the beautiful texture itself.
