ニューロノア《Liz》

情報で溢れる現代社会では、情報そのものの価値が
日々薄れるとともに、我々は自身のアイデンティティを
失いかけているように感じます。私は著名人をモティーフに、
その表情を大量の絵具で覆い隠したポートレート作品を
制作しています。著名人は情報社会のアイコンであり、
絵具を何度も塗り重ねる行為は溢れる情報のメタファーです。
表情を失ったポートレートは鑑賞者の記憶とつながり、
そこには鑑賞者自身にしか見えない独自の表情が
立ち現われます。私の作品が、鑑賞者の
アイデンティティを研ぎ澄まし、現代社会を
あるがままに見るトリガーになることを、
そしてより壮麗な未来を導く暗示となることを

In today’s information-overloaded society,
the value of information itself is diminishing day by day,
and we seem to be losing our own identity.
I create portrait works with the motif of celebrities,
covering their faces with a large amount of paint.
Celebrities are icons of the information society,
and the act of applying paint over and over again
is a metaphor for the overflow of information.
The portraits without facial expressions are
connected to the viewer’s memory,
and a unique expression that only the viewer
can see emerges. I hope that my work will
sharpen the viewer’s sense of identity,
trigger them to see contemporary society as it is,
